Saturday Splashers!

I do so love the Canadian Geese that seem to reside here all year.  These are this years youngun's and they came today to dip and take their baths.  What a glorious site!  I was so happy with the one where the goose is splashing under his wings!  My little camera stopped the action just right for a change-ha!  Living free - Isn't that what our country is all about?
So many wondrous sites in our world!

OUT OF THE DARKNESS INTO THE LIGHT

WAY BACK IN 1987, I awoke one Sunday Morning from a dream...Sunshine was streaming in two long windows.  Bill was saying, "we should always pray here-where the sun shines in."  I was so sleepy but I had to get up and write down the words as they came to to me.  I had wanted to add music to the verse but have not.  I share it now with you:
                      Out of the Darkess
                                by Kerrie O'Hearn Marquart 8/30/87

Out of the Darkness, into the light
Jesus lead me to prayer.
When darkness falls and I start to despair,
Light the lamp and lead me to prayer.
When I am weary and filled with fear,
You light the lamp and show that you care.

Out of the darkness, into the light
Let all my paths lead to thee.
No matter what trouble or sorrow I see,
I shall never give up, the lamp waits for me.
The warm glow of Jesus is beckoning to me,
"Come out of the darkness and follow me."

MORE INTARSIA WOOD PIECES BY BILL

HERE ARE SOME MORE OF BILL'S WONDERFUL WOODWORK.  THE PATTERNS FOR THESE PROJECTS WERE PURCHASED.  Some of these projects have hundreds of pieces and are cut out on a scrollsaw.  I love all of these, especially the beautiful large fan!  He made it for me and may make some to sell.  The gun plaques are flat sided and of course are non-working.  They are merely for decor but look so real.  I hope you enjoy seeing his little gallery in our den.

ON EAGLE"S WINGS

He gives power to the faint and to him who has no might He increases strength.
Even youths shall faint and be weary and young men shall fall exhausted;
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,
They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:29

I have always loved this verse in the Bible!  It speaks to all of us who have weaknesses and impatience.  But by faith and patience we can become strong taking comfort that all things happen in the Lord's timing.  I respect all religions and no matter what the sect, we all believe in 1 God.  May He bring comfort to all those who are burdened and distressed.  Fill yourself with joy, happiness is where you find it: in nature, in the fall leaves, the Indian Summer sunshine, the birds and their songs, good friends and neighbors, a loving family. God Bless you all this fine Autumn day!

The carving above is a large wall plaque that my hubby hand carved a few years ago.  I love its strong lines and rough texture

WEEKEND CAMPERS!

WEEKEND CAMPERS, even Isabella the Ragdoll!  Isabella was not sure about the whole trip but really adjusted very nicely by the time we left.  We were at the Shallotte/Brunswick KOA in N.C.  It is a lovely spot that we have visited before with our daughter, son-in-law and children.  It was the most beautiful fall weekend with chilly nights, warm windy days and blue skies.
Please visit the new blog in my sidebar, Designed by Delicia.  This is a very talented new blogger with awesome hand made cards and pics of the family.  A working mom who relaxes with her crafts, give her a big Blogsister Welcome!  Thanks!

FRIDAY FLOWERS....

GOOD MORNING BLOGGERS, FRIENDS AND VISITORS!!
To see all the pictures of Friday Flowers, also visit TWO HAPPY http://beaver-kerrie.blogspot.com and to see the neat turtle! Don't forget to enter the chance to win my first Give-a-Way!

Just love this little scarecrow guy!  I cannot believe all the flowers are still blooming in the yard as well as the MUMS!  The Jack-O-Lantern pot is terra cotta and I simply turn it around for the rest of the seasons.  It is very old.  Fall colors just make you feel good, don't they?  My spirits are lifted.  We are camping starting today, will be back on Sunday.  Till then, visit all the wonderful blogs listed in my sidebars on this and the TWO HAPPY site!

Swans, Owls and Blog Comments...

Bottoms up!
Yesterday the Mute Swan couple came more than once to grace the little lake!  I never cease to be awed by their presence and beauty!  They remember that I used to feed them and will pause and face me if I say, "Hi Babies!"  Swans are very fierce however, and very territorial.  When I fed them, they wanted to set up housekeeping that first year right in our flowerbeds under the den windows!  I am not tall, but none the less, they came up to my chin and were very scary when close.  They will hiss and posture with their wings to intimidate you.  I now only take pictures of them so that they keep themselves in the Lake but I do enjoy that recognition when I greet them.
Then just at dusk, the Barred Owl came!  He roosted in the Bradford Pear tree for at least 5 minutes and both hubby and I were so excited that we could not take a decent photo without shaking-ha!  Old people shake, yeh, they do!  But the photo is at least able to show the size and majesty of this beautiful creature.  Nature is so wonderful and all of God's creatures awesome in their own ways.
Do you realize how much fun it is to wake to your overnight comments??  They are like my little bonus each morning to see who has visited the blogs and read what they have to say.  Thank you all for visiting and for these wonderful comments!  Tis fun, tis fun! ♥ Kerrie

Wishing Wednesday

GOOD MORNING!  My wish for Wednesday is for a miracle!  A miracle for Amy, Debbie's daughter ( http://debbie-jeremiah3017.blogspot.com/ ) Please visit the new post at this site and say a prayer.

We are getting ready to go on our weekend camping trip Starting Friday!  We are anxious to get away and relax for a couple of days following our Craft Show on Saturday.  But I never can have idle hands and will be bringing my Bible, my crocheting and my laptop-ha!  That probably does not sound like relaxing camping to you but it really is-ha!  During the day we walk, check out every plant, bird and creature that we can and are forever hunting with our camera for a new wonderful shot.  We enjoy the quiet without the sound of traffic and crowds and instead delight in the song birds and lap of the water at the edge of the lake.  Evenings are campfires with warmth and memories of other times and maybe a song or two if I remember to bring my guitar.  Don't worry, I will sing softly-ha!  The two grandchildren that live here and their parents will also be camping and their Mother, my daughter, is bringing a new soup pot so I am looking forward to the aroma of that.  I will find them by just following my nose.  Bill has not felt well since Sunday and is very fatigued but is looking forward to this little trip.  Isabella, the ragdoll does not know what she has in store but I am sure she will turn out to be a great little camper!

No Isabella, you cannot bring the remote!
Captain and Girlie will also be joining in the camping trip.  These are my daughter's babies!

Let the Little Children Come...

After visiting Beverly's blog @ How Sweet The Sound, I thought that it would be okay to share this representation of Christ, "Let the Little Children Come.  It is one of those Collector's items that comes with a letter and certificate of authenticity that you see advertised in magazines.  I never fall for them about Elvis, and other celebrities.  But many years ago, I was so struck by the figure of the artist's conception of our Lord with children that I wanted to have it to display in my home as a testimony of my faith.  I asked my Sweet hubby at the time if it would be selfish of me to buy something I deemed very expensive at this point of time in our lives.  He, being the wonderful person that he is, assured me that it was not selfish, if I wanted it to purchase it.
It is such a wonderful figure and so detailed right down to the veins in the hands and feet of Jesus and the detail and joy shown in the eyes of the children.  I have this displayed in my corner china closet in the living room and I see it every day.  The threesome will have to be handed down like an heirloom because I could never "sell" Jesus in my lifetime.  He was offered as an "investment" because the figures would increase in value through the years.  But I don't care about any of that, I have invested in my eternal life by my belief in our Savior and have no need for material return.  It is not worshiping an idol because I do not worship these life-like beautiful dolls, they are just that, dolls.  But the symbolism is very real to me and comforting.  I hope you will enjoy seeing this artist's work.
Blessings and hugs, Kerrie

The Gospel of John

I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THE GOSPEL OF JOHN!  I  took a two-year Bible course when I was studying to be a Bethel Bible Teacher back in the mid-eighties.  I had an awful time memorizing the concepts it seemed until I made a song up about it:
♫The I AM Gospel♫

I am the word made flesh
I am the Light of the World
I am the bread of Life
I came so that they might have life!

I am the good shepard
Washing the disciple's feet
Love one another as I have loved you
The Spirit will guide us into all truth
The high priestly prayer.

Saturday Sales and New Books

GOOD SATURDAY AFTERNOON!  The craft show went pretty well.  For pictures please visit our TWO HAPPY blog @ http://beaver-kerrie.blogspot.com/   We met some new neighbors in our community who were also showing their crafts and had some friends come by our table as well.  Bill had to come home and rest in between but had fun greeting and meeting people.  He always has something to say that makes people laugh!  At the end of the sale today, they gave us fudge and candy from the food table and I received 2 lovely plants from the "Late Bloomer's Club" a Wandering Jew hanging plant and a succulent that was different than any I have had previously.  So that was a nice little bonus.  I had bought a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Betsy Ross doll all dressed in crocheted red white and blue yarn but did not win it.  We did have a good sale though and the sun even came out briefly.  Bill is napping and here I am on my blog-ha!  Hoping you had a sensational Saturday!  Blessings!
PS:  I received 2 new books I had ordered, "i Want" by Jane Velez-Mitchell and "Half Broke Horses", a true life novel by Jeannette Walls who also wrote, "The Glass Castle".  See my Shefari Book Shelf on this site for other recommendation in reading.

Thanks to all of you Sister Bloggers!

THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A FRIEND!
We are all different and we are from far away places from each other but we are joined in our interests, our passionate beliefs, our morals, our loves, our cancers, our crafts and interests, our recipes, and our love for one another despite the distances and differences!  You have made my day when I signed on this morning and had a flood of comments on my various recent posts!  I was so thankful for the friendships, support, prayers and just sharing.  What a blessing you all are to me!  Before I developed my blogger friendships, I was very lonely.  I am homebound with my hubby most of my days.  He cannot walk far due to the Multiple Myeloma which is destroying his spine and bones.  So we cannot do the things we used to do like walking, canoeing, heavy remodel, long car trips, yard work.  We do just what he is able to do and he naps often so that he has the strength and inclination to make his wood items and perhaps visit the craft store or grocery shop.  He only drives when he feels absolutely well as he has syncope (feeling faint) much of the time.  And sometimes he gets a little confused.  But he makes me laugh part of every day, makes me little surprises of wood,  pushes himself to do some yard work, bakes (I am on a cholesterol/heart diet-ha!) and we give each other lots of forehead kisses when we pass by one another.  In otherwords, we are in love and spend everyday just thankful for life.  We are able to camp and Bill enjoys that very much.  Sometimes when we are camping, we forget that he has cancer for a short while!  It has been very theraputic.
You bloggers opened up a world to me and now I am not so lonely.  I enjoy your pets, your sharing illnesses, the visits to your lovely homes and shops, and personal notes that you write.  What more could a girl ask for!  Love you all!!
The craft show starts early eve for the residents in our community and we are packing things for transporting to the clubhouse and putting some last minute pricing.  I will take a picture of our set up when we finish this afternoon.

THURSDAY'S THEME.....

THURSDAY ALREADY!  Thursday is crafting theme day again!  Below are pictures of some of the latest crafts already made up and had been in storage waiting for the new craft show starting tomorrow night 4-7 and on Saturday 9-3pm.  What a nice morning today.  The lake is calm and the skies are brightening.  The bad weather is lifting and the weekend should be nice!  The chill of fall is in the air and we are enjoying it!  I still have a dozen green tomatoes on the vines and if they do not ripen all the way, I will wash, wrap in paper tissue wrap and store in a cardboard box.  They will become fully ripe with this method and I love doing that!  The house plants that have been out on the patio all summer will soon have to be moved to the covered back porch and the more delicate ones will be brought into the house though I don't know where-ha!  The squirrels are so busy digging up and burying again all over the back yard.  If you would like to see more of my crafts, please visit my TWO HAPPY blog @ http://beaver-kerrie.blogspot.com/   I also have visited several new sites that I found so enjoyable and will have to share them with you in the next blog.  OKAY!  I am off to make little price tags, etc!

Thanks for visiting, come back soon!
