Everything is just Ducky!

Quack, Quack!  Mama Mallard came this morning to show off her babies~eight in all!  She and the male know we will be tolerant of them in the yard while she is tending her babies and so they show no fear as we take photos of them.  They are so dear!  One is limping and we are guessing from experience that a turtle probably bit him in the leg.  Turtles are predators by nature and if they can grab a little one by the leg and drag it under the water, they will drown and eat it!  While knowing that is nature, I still do not like the fact.  The father Mallard usually just sits guarding with his head tucked down while the Mama and babies forage through the grass and along the bank.  We just love seeing them every year.

Thank you for visiting this beautiful Saturday Morning and don't forget to bop over to Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound for the list of Pink Saturday Participants including my own http://beaver-kerrie.blogspot.com/   Come back soon.

Oh, Kerrie, those are just the sweetest little things...I love baby duckies - so nice of the parents to bring them to you to see. I wish people could be a bit more like animals...kind, trusting, loyal...all those qualities that are getting extinct with "civilisation"...I'm so glad you showed them to us.
Have a great day,
Doris :-)

Good Morning Sweet Kerrie...
I wanted to pop over and say good-morning. What precious pictures of the ducks. I love the furriness of the babies. Aren't they just the sweetest things. I love how trusting the Moma and Daddy are of you, they know you will not harm any of them. I don't think I would ever tire of watching them. Do you throw old breads to them to feed them?

This is just to precious. I love it. Have a beautiful Sunday sweetie. I pray you and Bill are doing well. I think of you every day and you are always in my prayers. Please know that you are so loved. Country hugs and much love...Sherry

Hi Kerrie,

I received your message today about accessing my blog. I am happy to provide you with the address which is as follows:

http://agardenpathjudy.blogspot.com

I have yet to create the kind of blog that has plenty of interesting photos and comments that are posted on a regular basis. Mine is more of a random thing about a variety of subjects that are mostly nature and garden related.

My blog is also listed on another site called americantowns.com under the city name of Bothell, which is located in Washington State.

I will come back and visit your blog when I can spend more time. Loved those baby ducks! I am also a duck fan and enjoy watching as well as feeding them treats at our local pond.

Thanks for getting in touch!

Judy
