NEW YEAR'S DAY

OH HOW LOVELY, THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE!  I am in a great mood today!  Thanks to Amelia at Amelia's Attic who left such nice comments and because I am off to a good start organizing and getting things done!  I just gave myself a home perm that was much needed, have my second load of washing in and am working on my blog!  What more could a girl ask for?  I am making scallopped potatoes and ham for dinner, we love that!  Bill has been working on his beautiful scrollsaw Ram's head (please go to http://kerrieskrafts3.blogspot.com/ to see it) and it is coming along nicely.  He just keeps amazing me with his determination and skill.  He is resting now which is good!  I have been making the whole family laugh near and far with the purchase of my giant skein of yarn for the afghan I am making.  My sister in Rochester, NY and my kids here think it is a riot!
Here tis:

I am making the slave afghan pattern in multiples of 10 like the one my daughter made in 2 tone before Christmas. This is hers in case you did not catch it in another post.

Mine will not be as large, lap robe size but I cannot wait to see how it comes out. Anyhow, my sis said Bill should tether me so I don't get lost in the yarn while crocheting!
I found this beauty at A. C. Moore craft store when I was spending my gift certificate.  So much fun!   If you are also a crochet nut, make sure you visit Doris at Crocheting in Georgia site.  She is so clever and her work is perfect! Also, visit my neice Patricia's site at Coquettish Fleur.  Her decorating skills, crochet creations and paper crafts are a delight to the eye!  She inspired me to start my first blog.  And besides that she is just the sweetest person!  Not that I am predjudice or anything-ha!  Okay, I am off to put clothes in the dryer!  God Bless you all and here's hoping you have such a wonderful 2010 that you can't wipe the grins off of your faces!
Love,

So happy to read of your good mood! And I did go over and see your husband's rams head. :-)

Oh wow, that skein of yarn IS big!!! I don't do any such, but my daughter does knitting, etc. I'm sure she would appreciate it. :-)

You daughter's afghan is lovely, and I'm sure yours will be also. So nice to warm us, in cool weather.
