Newly hatched Canadian Geese

It has been raining all day long but the highlight of my day was when the Canadian Goose family brought by their first hatchlings!

 It is always such a thrill to see them!  First the father who is lame several years now, came to the window alone begging for food.  I gave him some bread and asked where his family was, did he have new babies?

Sure enough, the mama came swimming by in the little lake in the pouring rain with her 3 babies just as proud as could be.  I was so thrilled to see them! 

 It was as though the father wanted me to see them coming to the window like that.

Isn't God and nature just awesome??

Canadian Geese and Goslings...

The Canadian Geese couple came today with their 3 babies!!  The parents remember us every year and know we are safe to bring the babies up into the yard.  I called to them and the Male listened for awhile and then came up with Mama and the goslings running behind!  Beautiful.  Such gorgeous little creatures and such proud parents.

All creatures great and small, the good Lord loves them all...
And so do we!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

"Hail Mary, full of grace, blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of they womb, Jesus."  Whatever your religious persuasion, Mother's are revered all over the world.  As well they should be.  There is no one like your mother, no one understands, loves, is a confidant and friend, is always there for you even when you are not very lovable, as your Mom, 'Cause that's the way Mom's are, yeh, they are.  So please remember Mom today and send her loving thoughts if you are not near and hugs if you are and tell her she is loved and appreciated for all that she has done for you.

There is even one Canadian Goose family who have adopted a little homeless gosling that is smaller than their own.  At first the Mother and Father chased it away from their goslings as is natural.  But today they came with their 4 large babies and the little homeless one was right with them.  Nature is so amazing!  I will have to catch them on film perhaps tomorrow.
