Long time, no post!

I have been working a lot and also 2 weeks ago I went to NYS to see my son and family. We really had a good time and went to the zoo one day where I took this great picture of the Thistle and bee!
My granddaughters Sarah and Kelsey were at the zoo with us and indulged us with taking pictures in front of the statue.

My daughter Barbara went with me on the trip and one of her favorite places to go is a Tom Thumb Ice Cream Restaurant overlooking Owasco Lake where we all took pictures of the beautiful sunset.  It has been there forever and I was surprised that the owner is now white haired and aging.  Time never passes in our minds....

It was beautiful weather while we were there and not unlike what the weather is in SC.

And I happened to be there when my 1960 Class had their monthly luncheon so I got to see about 11 classmates!  That was fun, too.  I am the first one on the left and my sis-in-law next to me.

And this poor old girl was the eldest Elephant at the zoo.  I always feel so sorry for the animals that are caged or tethered.  There were several elephants though that were moving about freely in a large field.

I have been subbing at a doc's office this whole last week and got very tired-ha!  Old age is not for sissies as the saying goes!  I am catching up on my posting and will post more pictures on my other blogs over the weekend.
Thanks for visiting and do come again.
My wild heart to yours...

Reunions

HELLO!!  Last weekend was great as we attended the USS UHLMANN reunion as guests of old friends.  It was held in Mt. Pleasant, SC so we camped at Mt. Pleasant KOA, one of our favorites!  Reunions are wonderful and especially when some of the members have not seen each other for 55 years!!  Left in the pic is my sweet hubby, me, Diane and Tommy Sayles.  Tommy went to school with my hubby and they also belonged to a gymnast team at the YMCA in our hometown.
Reunions are such fun!  When you are with old friends, it is as though no time had passed and the conversation is just picking up where you left off in a comforting sort of way.  Later, Tommy moved next door to me as a teen and he and my brother joined the Navy.  Small world!
Camping at the KOA in Mt. Pleasant while there, was also a very good time.  It is one of our favorite camping sites.  We always take the site nearest the lake and the real red train caboose that is also rented out to campers.  Children just love this!

A gathering of black birds who gathered at the fire pit and postured at one another.

A beautiful butterfly on the trail.

We love this big brown bear that is carved in a tree trunk near the lake.  Hubby wants to carve something like this someday :')

And this Mama Squirrel was ever our companion...

Beautiful Orange trumpet vine we saw along the walking trail.

Thanks for visiting and do come again.  Don't forget to visit my Etsy Shop as I am putting new fall items in all the time!

Blog Book Arrived

OUR blog book arrived yesterday and is beautiful!!  It is not a for sale book, but rather for us to remember all the posts that we have made on this blog from February to Mid-July.  The quality is just beautiful and we are so pleased.

WE ordered it from https://blogger.sharedbook.com/ and it was recommended by a Face Book friend.  Many thanks to Karen for her guidance!
The book includes all the wonderful photos that we have both taken and even some of my ancesters which is thrilling to see in print!  Just wanted to share with you.  Thanks for visiting and come back soon.  We are going away on Tuesday and will be gone for a week to visit our son and family in our hometown and also attend my 50th class reunion next Saturday.  Cannot wait!
God Bless!
