It can't be the end of June!

Wow!  Where does the time go??  I cannot believe that the 4th of July is just around the corner!!  I have been so busy with church and friends that the days just zip past!  My lawn and flower beds have really shaped up this year.  The fencing in back is completed and red Mulch does wonders for the beds!  A new fire pit is wonderful and my little neighbor "grandchild" joined me for the first fire and we sang hymns...

View from my upstairs window of new fencing left side.
Bumble Bee on these beautiful pink blossoms this morning.
The Apricot tree is growing beautifully!  I will have to decide where to plant it in the yard soon.
My bicycle planter I brought from my home in SC.  I have always loved it and the Pink Petunias set it off nicely!
Don't forget to visit Beverly at How Sweet The Sound for many more Pinks on Pink Saturday, it's HOT!

Banana pepper plant and Tomato Plant in the hydroponic planter.  Growing beautifully!

Thanks for visiting and please come back soon!

Visit to the Seneca River

My cousin invited me for ice-cream Wednesday eve at her friend's summer home on the Seneca River near Port Byron, NY.   What a lovely, peaceful spot.  My cousin has created little Gnome and Fairy gardens.  A magical little forest...

Beautiful Red Dianthus.

Below is the little Fairy Gazebo~charming...

Left of the Gazebo is more garden with plants, stones, wood and forest greenery.

Next is the little gnome village with ceramic and real mushroom tables and stools....

Mushrooms were very cooperative to grow amongst the Gnome village. :)

Beautiful Dragonfly on wild Iris by the riverbank.

My cousin's beautiful single petal roses at the base of a tree~lovely!

Don't forget to visit for another Pink Saturday with Beverly at How Sweet the Sound :)     http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com

NOTHING BUT PINK!

The beautiful Tulip tree in my neighbor's yard is in full bloom now with thousands of blossoms.  It is exquisite!

And there is a very old but beautiful blooming Azalea bush in my front yard.  The blossoms are as light as fairy wings, so beautiful!

Thanks for coming today and enjoying my beautiful Pinks!  For more pink beauty, go to http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com on Saturday for Pink Saturday at Beverly's.

MY YARD WAS HIDING UNDER THE SNOW...

Hello Spring!  At last, the sun is shining longer, I can see the grass that was hiding under all that snow and Spring fever is slowly creeping in-ha!  I did some Spring cleaning yesterday including the front sun porch.  As you can see, I did not put the snow shovels away as yet-ha!  You never can tell in Central NY-Ha!

As you can see, this morning it was warm enough to read the paper out there with coffee and Lilly getting sun on the throw rug.

These are tiny Snow Drops that are coming up all over around the house.  I took this little bunch when the ground was still frozen and put them in a pan on the porch.  The ice melted and filled the pan with water-ha!  But they continue to brighten the porch.  (to see other forced blooms, see my TWO HAPPY blog post today)

Tackling a closet to clean today continuing with Spring cleaning.  Are you into a cleaning mode today?  Easter will be here before you know it and I need to get out some colorful decor.  I did put a flowered Bonnet on the front inside door that I made when in SC.  I just stapled flowers to a child's hat and added ribbon.

Thank you so much for visiting today!

SNOW CREATIONS

The days are going so fast!   My calendar is getting fuller all the time!  We continue to have snow and I decided to enjoy it thoroughly!  If you cannot beat it, join it!
This is my Victorian Santa that I made last week and he melted away when we had a nice sunny day.  Next is my Snow Bunny that I made this last week so the school bus children could see it when they passed the house.  It melted even faster on a day we had a windy mild day! :(
But I had lots of making them and neighbors were tickled to see them, too-ha!  Oh wait, maybe they think I am a crazy old lady!  ha!
I have been painting my living room over ugly old paneling and it is coming out nice!  Cheerful!  While on the ladder and painting over a window, this was my view of snow on the Spirea Bush, so beautiful and my original hand made silhouettes were great against this snowy background!

These sparrows and wrens are waiting for the feeder to be filled, which I did promptly after taking their photo through the dining room window-ha!  All lined up like that reminded me of the commercial on TV where the man is looking at birds on electric lines that look like a music staff and he writes a melody from it...

These are sitting in the branches of a cluster of trees in the yard.  There are Rose of Sharon, Maple and some kind of fruit tree that has beautiful flower clusters and then small grape like berries.  I am not sure if someone originally planted them together on purpose or nature did it but after buying the house last summer, I trimmed it up and decided to keep it.
It really is pretty when the leaves and blossoms are on it.  It was so overgrown that it was over the walk and from the street, you could not see the right side of the house.

Thanks so much for visiting today and do come again.  Pls leave a comment, I treasure them!

Beautiful Deer

Thursdays are my "go to the farm" days.  My lifetime friend, Sonny is 85, has had a stroke and is in a wheelchair.  She is one of the bravest, strongest ladies I know.  I love her very much.  Since I have moved back to my hometown, I make a supper for her and take it to the farm as we visit for about an hour and a half.  The time is filled with girlish laughter, sweet memories and lovely music....  I love going there and yesterday we were blessed with 2 huge beautiful deer in the apple orchard and right in the driveway!!  The sun room windows were marred with melting ice and bright sun but I was still pleased to get these photos!  I am always blessed when I am there!

Sonny takes care of herself, has taught herself to print with her left hand, does housework and closet cleaning, has beautiful fish tanks, and tends beautiful plants in her sun room.  Her sense of humor has never waned and we often find ourselves breathless from laughter.  What a wonderful, wonderful blessing!!  She has a huge German Shepherd who thankfully likes me-ha!  And I love him, too.  His head is as big as a bear.  Just wanted to share with you as helping others has always been my Christian JOY!  How can you help someone by doing one kind thing a week for them?  Thanks for coming today, have a nice weekend.

My wild heart to yours...
