OCTOBER IS HERE ALREADY!

My goodness, the days are going so fast my head is spinning!  Life is so busy here in my hometown!  Lots of Fall gatherings and decorating going on!  I joined the library and renewed memories of when I joined the library as a child about 2nd grade.  I felt so puffed up as it was the first place I was allowed to walk alone besides school.  I also smiled as I walked through piles of colored leaves that "swished" as I stepped through :)  I have been taking rides to view the wonderful scents and scenes of Autumn in Central NY.

RR tracks the other side of Port Byron, NY before turning on Oakland Rd.

The fall blue sky with fair weather clouds are just beautiful!

All of the houses that I have lived in as a child are all gone now except for the house I was born in.  But I took a side road, Robinson Road in Throop NY where I learned to walk in a little house that no longer exists.  But I found a wonderful Barn which is one of my favorite subjects for photography and artwork.

The Silo was just wonderful with vines growing up the side to the roof and the roof askew from weathering and age.
Just wishing walls could talk!

And on the main road a swampy area so pretty in the sun with Canadian Geese swimming in among the growth.

The sights and sounds so pleasing to the heart....

No need for enhancement here!  Just true, rich colors of Autumn.

A little girl from down the street has invited me to her Halloween party today.  How sweet!  Not sure if I will attend or not-ha!  It has been a very long time since I dressed for Halloween!  But her invitation made me smile. :)

Pink Saturday Turned Orange

Beverly at How sweet the Sound, our host for Pink Saturday has given the choice to post fall at our houses.  So this is what was looking like fall here in SC.

My front door with a wreath in Autumn colors and a large felt leaf below.

And here is my little straw man sitting on a crate with one real pumpkin at his feet and one faux pumpkin on the step below.

This is a dear little pumpkin and ghost made out of wood.  I found it at a craft sale a few years ago.  I put this in the front yard in front of the Lantana bush.  Fall is my favorite time of year.  To read my Original fall poem, go to Kerrie's Poems.  Thank you!!  Love your visits!  It's Fall Y'all!

And this is a leaf off of the Bradford Pear Tree in the back yard.  The tree is still all green but this one leaf on the ground was nearly all red.  The tree is beautiful when it dresses for fall.  It will take the rest of October here in the south to change.

Thank you for visiting and do visit Beverly's site for a list of all participants for today and add yourself!

ANOTHER BLESSED FALL SUNDAY...

THIS AUTUMN is truly awesome!  I love every minute of every day!  The yard is so full of color and the crisp, put- on- another- blanket nights are wonderful for sleeping!!  I feel invigorated with the cooler air and a certain restlessness.... It has always been that way.
The front porch is welcoming all of you with traditional fall deco.  I made the fall wreath for the front door with just fall fabric leaves tucked into a straw wreath.  I store it for another year when through.  My potted Mums come up every year and though not as full as the first year they were purchased they still add color and cheerfulness to the yard.
These mums are also old ones and are in the back yard on the patio next to the bicycle shed.  I love their color!

Even the Pyrocanthus is bright with berries that the birds love!  They come and feed off the berries all winter.  Mocking birds seem to really love them!

The banana pepper bushes are still blossoming and bearing peppers!  Like me thay seem to be rejuvenated by the briskness in the fall air...
And the same is true of the Shamrock plants, they are all blossoming again and the shamrocks are so green!

Thanks for visiting and drop in on my craft blog to see some really pretty Pomp-a-doodle yarn and scarf.  Do come again soon!  Have a wonderful rest of your blessed Sunday!

Just love this little scarecrow guy!  I cannot believe all the flowers are still blooming in the yard as well as the MUMS!  The Jack-O-Lantern pot is terra cotta and I simply turn it around for the rest of the seasons.  It is very old.  Fall colors just make you feel good, don't they?  My spirits are lifted.  We are camping starting today, will be back on Sunday.  Till then, visit all the wonderful blogs listed in my sidebars on this and the TWO HAPPY site!
