Winter Pink

Joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday 2013!
The Christmas Cactus is on my backporch and this morning it was only 30 degrees when I took this photo.  I have no room to bring plants inside so I cover them with plastic drop cloths and hope for the best.

We had a "killing frost" last night here in SC but in my neighbor's yard, there blooms a Winter Rose still blooming with melting frost droplets on its petals...

I love roses and delight in seeing them in January!  My own Candy Striped Rose just stopped blooming but then the Camellia bush that is also a Winter bloomer, is loaded with blossoms.

Thank you for visiting today and come again soon.  When you have time, visit my other blogs listed in the sidebar.

My Wild Heart to yours...

Hi Kerrie, Thanks for stopping by and your flowers are so pretty. We had snow this morning, but now we have sunshine. We have warmed up some so maybe more of the snow will melt. My oldest two grandson's were building a snow fort. Big brother was helping little brother. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

Beautiful flowers and just a hint. Plastic will not save your plants. You need a blanket or cloth of some kind. I use old towels or thin blankets.

Happy 2013.

Kerrie, thank you so much for your sweet and inspiring comment about my depression and art, I can't tell you how much that means to me. I know that the Lord is with me and pulling me through. I hope that the new year brings you and yours many blessings and joy.
love and hugs,
Michelle
