The swans are so graceful even in the pouring rain and they flatten all of their feathers and pack them together tight repelling the most amount of water.
The Good Lord Gave Us Rain
©Kerrie O'Hearn Marquart
The Good Lord gave us rain
to quench the thirsty earth.
And a bit of rolling thunder
Just to remind us of His worth.
And I always enjoy the raindrops
'Cause they make the sun so sweet!
Raindrops are splashing on the little pond
But all the critters are hanging round.
'Cause God gave turtles a hard shell
And Swans and Egret's feathers,
That serve them well
As the rain runs off their lovely backs.

Such beautifully captured pics, my friend. Wish we had a lot of your wildlife to enjoy but I'll live thru yours.
Hope you are both doing well ... prayers still lifting.
Hugs of love, Marydon

What a sweet poem! And I love the beautiful swans, they are my favorite.
How lovely it must be to see swans gliding by on the water...they are such magnificent and graceful creatures. It's been a long time I saw a swan life and in person - not since California 5 years ago!
All the best to you and your hubby!
With love,
Doris and Gizzy :-)
I love your wildlife photography, Kerrie.
